Tips on how to clean an office

All companies that offer cleaning services have precise procedures in cleaning corporate offices. Some of these procedures are even designed accordingly to the specific cleaning needs of the office premises and building. Similarly on how we clean our houses tediously every day, cleaning the offices is also done in routine; which means it should be done on a regular or scheduled basis. Here are tips on different practices and methods of cleaning the offices. The basic routine cleaning done in every office premise includes cleaning the restrooms, vacuuming the carpets, dusting & wiping surfaces, sweeping & mopping the floors, and removing all trashes. It does not include cleaning services for appliances such as microwave ovens, washing machines and refrigerators within the office premises. Normally, routine cleaning is done any time after office hours, which is in the evening. The frequency of routine cleaning will depend on the office or building size. Typically, most offices have their premises or building cleaned one to five times weekly. Before starting the routine cleaning in the office, make sure to locate first the janitorial closet or stock room where the cleaning products are kept. Also, check the positions of the light switches, thermostat, and trash can liners. There are two sizes of trash can liners, small size and large size. In this way, lots of time will be saved. Routine cleaning in offices is performed on circular pattern. It ranges from desk to desk, and from room to room following the boundaries of the entire office. In this way, the risk of overlooking areas that are left unclean will be prevented. Every office desk has its own trash can, thus ensuring that all cans are emptied from wastes must be done. An excellent routine cleaning should not disregard this step in order to impress office workers the following day on the cleanliness of their environment. They would surely be inspired to work the next morning once they see how spic and span their working area is. Perform dusting first before vacuuming to ensure that all dirt pieces are eliminated. Carpets will always be the last to vacuum. Cleaning the office restrooms is also part of the basic routine cleaning. Prior cleaning, the first two important steps to do is empty the trash can and refill the paper products such as paper towel or toilet tissue. If the restrooms include other toiletries such as alcohol, lotions, or liquid soap, do a refill as well. Most office workers are meticulous in the cleanliness of their office restrooms therefore it is important that floors, fixtures, faucets, and mirrors are spotless and dirt-free. As soon as all routine cleaning patterns are done and before leaving the office or building, make sure to perform a quick check around the office premises. Every desk and every chair must be returned to its proper places and stations.
