In recent years, Bangladesh witnessed a strong progress in the overall development in the economic and social aspects. The progress is expected to continue.

One of the success stories of Bangladesh has been the pharmaceutical sector. The local pharmaceutical companies already gained access to the American and European markets. Beximco Pharma and Square are leading the way. These companies have already set up world-class infrastructure. In 2005, Beximco Pharma became the first Bangladeshi company to be listed on the Alternative Investment Market of the London stock exchange.

Exports of pharmaceuticals from Bangladesh to rest of the world grew 22% in the past seven years. The growth rate is expected to increase over the next 10 years. The situation is same for the ceramic industry. The industry, led by Shinepukur Ceramics is overseeing a fast growth. The garments sector is also contributing a lot.

Though there has been progress in all sectors, there is still significant scope for growth and development. The sky is the limit for Bangladesh! And many more success stories will be written in near future.
